★★★★★“Spend the extra to get it refurbished!”Dustin, Etsy review

This pair of 1960s Helen Hobey Baker nightstands brings a formal, sculptural quality to the bedside. Each nightstand is faced with a pair of walnut doors, and where they meet at the center an elongated hexagonal outline is carved around a textured brass pull with a radiating sunburst pattern. The cases have angled front corners and a dark molded top edge, and each one sits on a dark stretcher base with squared legs, giving the pair a lifted, furniture like stance rather than the look of a simple box.

Behind the doors, each nightstand holds a drawer across the top with open storage below, so smaller items stay organized while books and extra bedding have their own space. The wide tops leave room for a lamp, and because everything closes behind doors the pair keeps a clean face in the room. They work equally well as bedside tables or as a matched pair of end tables in a living room.

This pair of nightstands is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. These characteristics contribute to the original vintage appeal and authenticity that many collectors appreciate. For those looking for a fully refinished example, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a complete professional refinishing process with sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure all drawers and doors operate smoothly and the pair is ready for everyday use.
