★★★★★“Spend the extra to get it refurbished!”Dustin, Etsy review

This 1960s Helen Hobey Baker lowboy dresser is a long, low case that combines walnut and burl with real restraint. A row of four burl faced drawers runs across the top, set above a front of broad walnut door panels divided by dark trim. At the center, an elongated hexagonal outline is carved around a textured brass pull with a radiating sunburst pattern, the one piece of ornament on the front, and the case sits on a dark stretcher base with squared legs that lifts it clear of the floor.

Behind the doors, the storage is generous and well organized. The center doors open to wide drawers with gently curved fronts, and the doors at each end conceal stacks of additional drawers, all below the four shallow burl drawers across the top. That puts a lot of clothing storage behind a quiet, paneled face, and at this length the dresser can anchor a bedroom wall or serve as a substantial credenza in a dining room.

This lowboy dresser is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. These characteristics contribute to the original vintage appeal and authenticity that many collectors appreciate. For those looking for a fully refinished example, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a complete professional refinishing process with sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure all drawers and doors operate smoothly and the dresser is ready for everyday use.
