This matching pair of 1960s Cavalier Corporation nightstands exemplifies the refined restraint of American mid century modern bedroom furniture. Built at Cavalier's Chattanooga, Tennessee factory, these nightstands feature richly figured walnut veneer throughout, with the grain carefully matched across each door panel for a cohesive, elegant presentation.

Each cabinet is built on a single-door form with a recessed vertical bar pull set into the door face — hardware that is minimal, functional, and perfectly in keeping with the period aesthetic. The piece sits on a distinctive base with four squared legs connected by a sculpted arched stretcher, a signature Cavalier design element that gives the stand an architectural quality while keeping the visual weight light. The flat top provides a generous surface for bedside essentials.

These nightstands are in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. These characteristics appeal to those who appreciate the original character and history of a vintage piece. For those seeking a fully refreshed look, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a full professional refinishing process involving sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure long-term durability and a smooth, even finish.
