This 1960s Cavalier Furniture highboy dresser is a well-proportioned example of American mid century modern bedroom design, built in warm walnut with clean, angular lines and minimal ornamentation. The two-piece case composition features an upper cabinet section with two flat-panel doors that open to reveal an interior drawer and open shelf space — ideal for keeping smaller items tucked away and accessible.

Below the cabinet, the lower chest offers four full-width drawers with horizontal rectangular bar pulls in walnut, providing ample everyday storage. The case sits on tapered block legs connected by a flat stretcher rail, grounding the tall vertical form with a sense of stability and craft. The warm walnut grain is consistent throughout the piece, with no heavy embellishment — just well-made, functional modernism.

These dressers are in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. These characteristics appeal to those who appreciate the original character and history of a vintage piece. For those seeking a fully refreshed look, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a full professional refinishing process involving sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure long-term durability and a smooth, even finish.
