This 1960s Broyhill Sculptra Magna highboy dresser takes the collection's carved relief work and sets it into an asymmetrical front. The upper right section is faced with four raised panels of nested rectangles, carved into the walnut so they catch light at every edge, while the rest of the case is left in plain, warmly figured veneer. Oval recessed metal pulls line up down the left side and across the lower drawers, a gallery lip finishes the back of the top, and the case sits on tapered legs tied together by a gently arched stretcher.
The Magna layout is what sets this highboy apart from a standard stack of drawers. A column of five smaller drawers runs the full height of the left side for socks, accessories, and folded basics, and three wide drawers fill the lower right for sweaters and larger clothing. Above them, the carved panel opens as a door onto a compartment fitted with vertical dividers, useful for shirts, bags, or anything that should stay upright. The back carries its stamped Broyhill model numbers.
This highboy dresser is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. Restored:
Selecting the restored option includes our full professional refinishing process. Once selected, the piece is transported to our workshop, where we address surface damage like lacquer failure, chips, water marks, and deep scratches. Our team sands, stains, and seals each surface where appropriate, restoring the finish while preserving the character of the original design. We also carefully adjust doors, drawers, and hardware to ensure smooth operation and reliable function. The result is a fully restored vintage furniture piece, ready for daily use and built to last for decades to come.
