This 1960s Young Manufacturing highboy dresser is a refined example of American mid century modern design, pairing practical proportions with the sculptural drawer fronts that define the collection. The warm walnut tones showcase a rich, expressive grain throughout, while the two-tier construction gives the piece a distinctive silhouette β a double-door cabinet crowning a lower bank of sculpted drawers.
The upper cabinet opens to reveal a set of interior drawers alongside an open shelved compartment, offering layered storage without compromising the clean exterior lines. Below, three generous drawers feature the signature concave fronts that give this collection its name β each pull sculpted directly into the face of the drawer for a seamless, handle-free look. Tapered legs elevate the form, giving it that classic light, floating appearance while maintaining a strong, grounded presence.
This highboy is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. These characteristics appeal to those who appreciate the original character and history of a vintage piece. For those seeking a fully refreshed look, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a full professional refinishing process involving sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure long-term durability and a smooth, even finish.
