This Young Manufacturing credenza from the 1960s is the design we call the Contour, named for the sculpted wooden pulls and dramatically splayed legs that define its silhouette. The walnut case holds a center bank of three drawers flanked by two cabinet doors, each front cut from richly grained veneer that runs clean across the facade. The carved, elongated pulls sit in a staggered rhythm that gives the front a quiet sense of motion.

The storage layout is practical without interrupting the lines. The three center drawers take care of linens, flatware, and everyday essentials. Behind the left door sits a shelved compartment, and behind the right door a single small drawer floats above open storage for taller items. The whole case rides on a sculpted, recessed base whose flared legs lift the credenza off the floor and give it a surprisingly light stance, equally at home as a dining room buffet, a media console, or statement storage in an entryway.

This credenza is offered in two condition options. Vintage As-Pictured retains the original finish and patina, with wear from 60 years of use as shown in the photos. Our vintage restoration is made to show the credenza in its best possible light. Restoration work may include sanding, patching, staining, toning, gluing, and more, finished with a durable satin lacquer. All of our finishes are sprayed, just like the original factory finish, for the best and most consistent results. Please note that while we aim for perfection, some minor imperfections may remain however they will be hard to notice.
