This 1960s Young Manufacturing china cabinet represents one of the maker's most sought after designs, defined by the concave crown that sweeps across the top of the upper case. A pair of glass doors sit within the walnut frame, and the simple, graceful carved wood handles are a Young signature, sculpted directly into the fronts rather than bolted on. The base carries the same restraint, with clean drawer fronts, two cabinet doors, and a sculpted rail and leg design that lifts the whole cabinet with a light, architectural gesture.
Built as a two piece cabinet, it offers serious storage in a graceful package. The glassed upper case keeps china and glassware displayed and dust free across adjustable shelving, while the base provides three wide drawers for linens and flatware plus shelved cabinet storage behind each door. At 64 inches wide and 74 inches tall it anchors a dining room wall the way a china cabinet should, without the visual weight of heavier designs from the era.
This china cabinet is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. These characteristics contribute to the original vintage appeal and authenticity that many collectors appreciate. For those looking for a fully refinished example, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a complete professional refinishing process with sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure all drawers, doors, and sliding glass panels operate smoothly and the cabinet is ready for everyday use.
