This rare pair of 1960s Witco throne chairs captures the dramatic, hand-carved Tiki aesthetic the company became known for during the mid-century era. Crafted from deeply sculpted cedar with the signature charred finish, each chair features exaggerated high backs, totem-inspired figures, and rhythmic carved patterns that highlight the wood’s grain. The sculptural arms and boldly shaped legs add to the strong visual presence that made Witco furnishings so distinctive.

The original plush velvet upholstery offers a warm contrast to the dark carving, echoing the materials Witco often paired with its more theatrical designs. These chairs share the same craftsmanship and spirit as the iconic seating produced for Elvis Presley’s Jungle Room, giving them a recognizable connection to that legendary style without being exact matches. Ideal for collectors of mid-century Tiki design or anyone looking to anchor a space with sculptural, immersive furniture, this pair exemplifies the playful and expressive nature of classic Witco work.
