This 1960s Mid Century Modern Thomasville burl highboy dresser is a striking example of the brand’s most sculptural, design-forward period. As shown in the photos, the tall, vertical form is anchored by elegant tapered legs and crowned with a clean, flat top that allows the dramatic burl to take center stage. The front elevation is visually distinctive, with deeply arched, recessed panels running across each tier of drawers, creating a rhythmic, architectural façade that feels both refined and bold—very much of its era, yet timeless in execution.

The layered drawer composition gives the dresser a sense of depth and movement, with each drawer framed by sculpted surrounds that cast subtle shadows and emphasize the dimensional craftsmanship. The rich, warm burl veneer shifts beautifully in the light, displaying organic variation, depth, and character across the surface. From every angle in the photos, the piece reads as substantial and well-proportioned—tall enough to command a room, yet balanced in scale, with a streamlined profile that keeps it feeling elegant rather than bulky.

As pictured, this dresser is in vintage original condition and shows honest signs of age and use, including light surface wear, minor scratches, and patina consistent with its history, all visible in the photos. Prior to shipping, it will receive a routine cleaning and light touch-ups to help it present at its best while preserving its original character. Alternatively, the dresser can be fully restored upon request, which would include professional refinishing of the burl surfaces and careful detailing of all drawer fronts for a refreshed, more uniform appearance.
