This Ste Marie and Laurent executive desk is a quintessential example of mid-century modern design, boasting a Brazilian rosewood finish that exudes an air of sophistication. Its sleek, expansive leatherette top rests upon a striking chrome base, whose geometric minimalism imparts a feeling of the desk almost floating within a space. The marriage of the warm wood tones with the industrial coolness of chrome encapsulates the era's penchant for blending diverse materials to create something both new and timeless.

Functionality is paramount in this rare piece from the 1960s, evident in the practical layout that includes three smooth-gliding drawers on the right side, and a capacious pull-out filing drawer adaptable for both small and large file hangers. This desk is crafted not just for the solitary work but also for the dynamic executive environment, able to comfortably accommodate three chairs on its backside, facilitating teamwork and discussion.

Every drawer is designed to lock, ensuring confidentiality and security for documents and possessions, enhancing the desk's functionality. The desk maintains its elegance and charm with only some minor nicks and light fading from a desk pad in the leatherette, serving as gentle reminders of its heritage and enduring quality.
