This 1960s Stanley Furniture china cabinet is a clean, architectural example of American mid century modern design, built as a single one-piece walnut case. The open upper display area is divided into airy compartments by slim shelves and a center partition, giving the top half a light, floating quality over the solid storage below. Slender brass pulls and tall tapered legs keep the lines refined, and the walnut grain carries warmly across the full height of the cabinet.
The single-case construction makes this china cabinet notably practical. The open shelving displays china, glassware, or books without glass in the way, while the base offers three center drawers for flatware and linens flanked by two cabinet doors with shelved storage behind them. Because it is one piece rather than a stacked hutch, it moves and settles as a unit, and at 50 inches wide it fits dining rooms, living rooms, or a home office equally well.
This china cabinet is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. These characteristics contribute to the original vintage appeal and authenticity that many collectors appreciate. For those looking for a fully refinished example, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a complete professional refinishing process with sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure all drawers and doors operate smoothly and the cabinet is ready for everyday use.
