This 1960s Specialty Woodcraft lowboy dresser is a commanding example of the maker's sculptural work, stretching 76 inches across with real presence. The sliding door panel carries a row of deeply carved, elongated diamond forms that taper to points, dimensional shapes that shift with the light and give the front the character of a relief panel. Long double slotted wooden pulls span the drawers, and sculpted splayed legs carry the case with the same confidence as the carving above them.
The layout balances concealed and open storage across its generous width. A full bank of wide drawers handles folded clothing, while the sliding door glides across to reveal additional drawers behind it, letting you decide which side stays hidden. The long, low profile leaves the walnut top free for a mirror, art, or a television, which also makes this lowboy an easy candidate for media console duty in a living room.
This lowboy is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. These characteristics contribute to the original vintage appeal and authenticity that many collectors appreciate. For those looking for a fully refinished example, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a complete professional refinishing process with sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure all drawers and the sliding door operate smoothly and the dresser is ready for everyday use.
