This 1960s Specialty Woodcraft queen headboard is an eclectic, seldom seen design that turns the maker's sculpted diamond motif into pure silhouette. Four elongated diamonds are carved in relief across the walnut panel, each one tapering upward into a spire that rises past the top edge of the headboard. The effect is graphic and architectural, almost like a skyline in walnut, and it gives the bed a focal point that needs nothing else around it.
As a functional headboard it keeps things simple. Restored:
Selecting the restored option includes our full professional refinishing process. Once selected, the piece is transported to our workshop, where we address surface damage like lacquer failure, chips, water marks, and deep scratches. Our team sands, stains, and seals each surface where appropriate, restoring the finish while preserving the character of the original design. We also carefully adjust doors, drawers, and hardware to ensure smooth operation and reliable function. The result is a fully restored vintage furniture piece, ready for daily use and built to last for decades to come.
