This 1960s pair of Specialty Woodcraft nightstands is an eclectic, rarely seen take on American mid century modern design. Each walnut case carries a sliding door faced with a boldly sculpted, raised diamond relief, a dimensional carving that catches light and shadow across the front. The drawers wear long slotted wooden pulls that echo the horizontal lines of the case, and the whole composition rides on dramatically splayed, sculpted legs that give each nightstand a planted, confident stance.

The sliding door is the clever part. It glides across the front to conceal either the drawer bank or the open cubby, so each nightstand can be configured with the diamond centered where you want it and the storage arranged to suit each side of the bed. Behind the door, stacked drawers keep small items organized while the open bay handles books, a lamp base, or nightly essentials. At 24 inches tall they pair well with most bed heights.

These nightstands are in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. These characteristics contribute to the original vintage appeal and authenticity that many collectors appreciate. For those looking for a fully refinished pair, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a complete professional refinishing process with sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure all drawers and sliding doors operate smoothly and the nightstands are ready for everyday use.
