Experience the seamless blend of form and function with the Drexel Profile desk, a creation by esteemed designer John Van Koert. This piece, fashioned from walnut and pecan woods, boasts a design that's as much a work of art as it is a furniture item. The desk's curves and contours are a testament to Van Koert's background in jewelry design, evident in the flower petal-shaped drawer pulls that add a delicate, organic touch to the piece.
True to Van Koert's design philosophy for the Profile collection, the desk features gentle, flowing lines with an absence of harsh angles, presenting a harmonious profile from every perspective. Practicality is woven into its design, with three drawers that offer ample storage solutions, including a file drawer equipped with a lip for hanging folders. In a nod to the Bauhaus tradition of minimalism, the top center drawer eschews hardware, enhancing the desk's sleek appearance. Crafted between 1955-1961, this desk not only serves the practical needs of the modern user but also stands as a collector's piece that embodies the mid-century modern aesthetic.
