This set of six 1960s Heywood Wakefield Dog Bone dining chairs is named for its most recognizable feature, the open back rail whose tapered center and rounded ends form the dog bone silhouette. The frames show a warm, rich wood tone and the smooth, rounded edges Heywood Wakefield was known for, giving the chairs a sculptural yet sturdy presence.

The set includes two armchairs and four side chairs, a complete arrangement for a full dining table. Each chair rises on gently splayed, tapering legs that give the group a light, balanced stance, and the open dog bone backs keep a six chair set from feeling heavy. The classic styling pairs easily with a wide range of mid century dining tables.

This set of dining chairs is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use including surface wear, finish inconsistencies, and minor imperfections throughout. These characteristics contribute to the original vintage appeal and authenticity that many collectors appreciate. For those looking for a fully refinished set, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a complete professional refinishing process with sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure each chair is stable and ready for everyday use. Reupholstery is included with the restored option: you provide the fabric of your choice and we reupholster the chair seats in your fabric.
