This king headboard from the Granada collection by Freed-Waran Inc., dated 1963, is a quintessential representation of mid-century Spanish Revival style, imbued with a sense of regal elegance and meticulous craftsmanship. The headboard showcases a series of beautifully carved panels, each boasting an intricate floral motif that captures the romantic allure of traditional Spanish design. The central panel, more prominent than its counterparts, serves as the crown of this exquisite piece, drawing the eye and anchoring the overall design.

Flanking the central tableau, elongated wooden spindles create a harmonious separation between the panels, enhancing the headboard's classic aesthetic. These spindles, reminiscent of traditional Spanish architectural elements, add to the headboard's structural elegance and visual interest. The arched top edges of the outer panels introduce a soft, sculptural form, juxtaposing the otherwise robust silhouette of the headboard. Constructed from a rich, warm-toned hardwood, the headboard radiates a timeless quality and promises enduring strength.

As a statement piece of the bedroom, this king headboard not only anchors the bed itself but also sets a distinguished tone for the entire room. The detailed carvings and the spindle design offer a touch of old-world charm, while the solid construction and clean lines ensure compatibility with contemporary decor, particularly within mid-century modern themes. The headboard's commanding presence and the artful execution of traditional design elements make it a showcase piece that will transform any bedroom into a space of sophistication and historical elegance.
