This 1960s Broyhill Sculptra two-piece china cabinet is one of the most recognized and sought-after sets in the American mid century modern canon. Produced by Broyhill Furniture of Lenoir, North Carolina, the Sculptra collection earned its name from the signature carved and sculpted decorative accents that distinguish it from more sparely designed mid century lines.

The set consists of a wide display hutch that rests atop a low-profile buffet base. The hutch features four glass-panel doors divided into two pairs, each opening to reveal three interior display shelves — well suited for presenting china, glassware, or decorative objects. The buffet below is organized around three wide center drawers fitted with the collection's characteristic arc-shaped bar pulls, flanked on each side by a single cabinet door bearing the Sculptra hallmark: a raised rectangular carved panel inset into the door face. The entire base rests on four tapered legs joined by a gracefully curved stretcher, giving the silhouette an architectural quality.

Throughout, the piece is finished in richly grained walnut veneer, its warm tones and natural figuring complementing the sculptural surface details that define this collection.

This china cabinet is in vintage as-pictured condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. These characteristics appeal to those who appreciate the original character and history of a vintage piece. For those seeking a fully refreshed look, we also offer a restored option. Restoration includes a full professional refinishing process involving sanding, staining, glazing, toning, and lacquering, along with functional adjustments to ensure long-term durability and a smooth, even finish.
