This 1960s Broyhill Saga petite dining table shows how much presence the collection packed into its simplest forms. The walnut top has gently bowed edges that soften the rectangle into a subtle boat shape, a quiet detail that catches the eye once the table is in the room. Slender round tapered legs angle out slightly at each corner, giving the table the light, athletic stance that defines the Saga line.
The proportions are what make this table genuinely useful. Closed, it measures 50 inches wide and seats four comfortably in an apartment, breakfast nook, or smaller dining room. Drop in the single 12 inch leaf and it stretches to 62 inches to seat six for dinner. The old finish is removed, chips and scratches are repaired, and the piece is sanded, stained, glazed, toned and lacquered by hand, with drawers, doors and hardware adjusted to run smoothly. Local pickup from our warehouse in Denville, New Jersey, and within about 50 miles we may be able to deliver it ourselves at a reduced rate.
