A visually striking mid-century modern piece by Bassett Furniture combining walnut and rosewood in a brutalist-influenced form. Bassett was one of America's largest furniture manufacturers during the mid-century period, and pieces that blend two premium hardwoods — especially walnut paired with the now-rare rosewood — represent their higher end of production.
The brutalist design language is expressed through bold proportions and strong geometric presence. A collector-quality example of American MCM manufacturing at its best.
