This striking Mid Century Modern headboard by American of Martinsville dates to the 1960s and features an integrated set of floating nightstands. Designed for a queen-size bed, the piece showcases a long, sculpted frame with a subtle upward curve along the top edge. The twin end units are suspended on tapered legs and each offers three spacious drawers, providing a sleek, built-in storage solution that maintains a clean footprint.
True to the era, the design prioritizes both form and function. The nightstands appear to hover effortlessly at each end, and the recessed center legs support the generous frame while preserving the minimalist silhouette. Original wood pulls, matched grain, and clean-lined drawer faces reflect Martinsville’s commitment to craftsmanship and modern elegance.
