★★★★★“Spend the extra to get it refurbished!”Dustin, Etsy review

Designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates, this striking coffee table hails from the coveted Strictly Spanish line, a bold and imaginative departure from his more angular mid-century designs. The substantial black slate top rests over a geometric base with scalloped arches carved into rich oak and set atop a matte black plinth, evoking architectural forms reminiscent of Mission Revival and Spanish Baroque influences. The sculptural interplay between material and silhouette gives this piece undeniable presence, making it a dramatic anchor for any living space.

The solid wood base showcases beautifully grained oak, contrasting with the weight and texture of the natural slate surface. The legs were previously refinished and blend seamlessly into the base’s black recessed lower section, enhancing the interplay of light and shadow within the arches. A rare and collectible statement piece, this table exemplifies Pearsall’s experimental spirit and Craft Associates’ commitment to quality and design innovation during the 1960s.
